Nursing, Paramedic & Technician Opportunities
Tucson Medical Center provides a wide range of nursing, paramedic and technician opportunities for those who're interested in a healthcare career. As for now, Intensive Care Unit, General-Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Medical, PCCU-Cardiac-Medical, Neurology-Neurosurgery and Adult Medical Telemetry departments are all seeking for RN. Applicants with one year of nursing experience and education from a nationally-accredited nursing program would be preferred. RN licensure is a must. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications might be required by some departments such as Pediatrics, OR, Ambulatory Surgery and etc.
Currently, Patient Care Technicians are needed by Neurology-Neurosurgery, Inpatient Hospice and General-Vascular Surgery departments. Patient Care Technicians is responsible for direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of RN or Case Manager. Candidates with a high school diploma or general education degree and six months of patient care experience in an acute care setting would be preferred. A current CNA certification and a current Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification are required.

TMC Auxilians serves as an integral part of the Tucson Medical Center. It is committed to delivering quality service to meet the needs of patients, families and the medical center community. Since its founding in 1949, TMC Auxilians has contributed nearly 2 million hours of service to the medical center. Now the Auxiliary boasts more than 900 members and 500 active volunteers.
Services provided by TMC Auxilians range from purchase of equipment to endowment funds. Their services cover a total of 25 areas including Outpatient Lobby, Ambulatory Surgery, Book Cart, Emergency Room, Southeast Desk, Gift Shop, Tucson Orthopaedic Institute, Spanish Assistance, Patient Assistance, Office Aides, Vascular Lab, Urgent Care, Cancer Care Center, Breast Screening and more.
