
Titan Missile Museum: A Surely Unique Site to Go in Tucson
Titan Missile Museum, located near Tucson city, in the midst of the scorching Arizona Desert, is the only Titan II missile destination that is opened for public viewing. It was also considered to the largest missile storage tower in the United States. A visit to the museum would definitely be a unique experience.
On entering the silo, which has been converted to the Titan Missile Museum, you will feel like you have entered a fictional galaxy with a sci-fi setting. You can have a close look at missiles that was used in the training processes. You can also visit the control center to experience a virtual missile launch.
The museum offers several tours and activities. You will come across an one-hour guided tour that is offered on a first come first see basis. So, it is important to go to the site early, so that you do not miss the show. Then you have a program called Beyond the Blastdoor Tours that is hosted every alternate Saturday and offers an in depth knowledge of the area where the entry is prohibited.
Every Tuesday afternoon, a special show is offered known as Tuesdays with the Titans. You can book for a special tour where you can travel along with the crew members. If you have visited the place with your family and/or friends, you can see the museum by the beam of the full moon. It is an enjoyable tour.
Kids will simply love the activities of the Titan Missile Museum. They are given a batch of Junior Missileers once they successfully complete the games and activities offered to them at the museum.
