University of Arizona, also referred to as Arizona State University is one of the largest public research universities in US. Founded in the year 1885, University of Arizona then known as Normal School of Arizona enrolled only high school students. However within a span of 30 years it gained the status of a college.
University of Arizona Tucson comprises of four campuses - Temple campus, West campus, Polytechnic campus and Downtown Phoenix campus. This has now grown into a full-fledged university offering wide variety of academic programs for students coming from various backgrounds.
Students can choose from more than 300 undergraduate programs and graduate degree through 20 colleges and 11 schools on three campuses. To keep pace with changing needs, University of Arizona is offering nearly 30 undergraduate and graduate degree programs online. These online degrees have the same accreditation as any other full time course.
With a view to safeguard the interests of localities residing in Arizona, priority is given to residents while allotting seats. In fact admission is ensured to residents in the top 75% of their high school class with weighted secondary GPA of 2.5. This university is known for offering nearly 250 majors for its undergraduate students and 100 graduate programs to masters and doctoral degrees.
To further simplify the process, these programs are divided into 17 colleges and schools spread across the four university campuses. Financial aid is also provided with the sheer intention of offering quality education to financially backwards students.
In order to help students, a financial coordinator is made available within the campus to assist students and assist them in applying for scholarships. Several kinds of scholarship programs have been designed to help students.
