
Guide to Parks in Tucson
There are a number of parks and gardens located in and around Tucson where you can enjoy nature and escape from the bustle of the city. Many of these parks also provide cycling and jogging trails, picnic sites, large and open areas for games, or space for walking your dog.

'A' Mountain
This landmark visible from all over the city is officially known as Sentinel Peak. You can drive to the top to get a picturesque view of the city and its surrounding desert landscape. The display of Tucson's annual 4th of July fireworks is also launched from here.
Kartchner Caverns State Park
The caves of Kartchner Caverns and the surrounding lands were purchased by the state in 1988 for using as a public park. You can take tours of this park to watch some of world's amazing and colorful cave formations. The park also has hiking trails, several campsites and a Discovery Centre. Fort Lowell Park and Museum

Biosphere 2 Center
This park is located just outside the city of Tucson and features desert gardens, a tropical rain forest, savanna, marsh, thorn shrub, ocean and a comprehensive agricultural area. It is open daily from 09:00 to 16:00 hours.
Tohono Chul Park
The Tohono Chul Park is used for promoting conservations of the dry region around Tucson. It features a geology wall and a greenhouse demonstration garden. The park also has nature trails, a tea room, art gallery and a gift shop. You can visit the park on any day of the week between 8 am to sunset.
